I am your new school counselor for the 2021-22 school year. I am so excited to be part of the Tiger team. A little about me, I am a retired Naval Officer with 4 kids ages 12, 10, and 8 years old, and our youngest will turn 1 in October. I enjoy mountain biking, spending time with my family, gardening, and baseball. I love having more time with my kids now and enjoying coaching their sports teams and biking with them whenever we can.
After I retired from the Navy, I started looking for my next career and ended up substitute teaching in the interim. I really enjoyed the kids and saw a lot of myself as a young student in them, so I decided to go back to school and get my counseling and guidance credential and another master's degree. This is my second year as a counselor in the San Diego Unified School District.
